How do the project teams and their prototypes develop? Here we talk about their roadblocks and breakthroughs and, moreover, about the life & work of the whole castle crew.
Imagine: you are preparing an event, in which one hundred people need to be able to live and work comfortably for five weeks. You’ve got a huge castle to clean, three Fab Labs to install, a kitchen to build, and a ton of other tasks to take care of on top of that. And you have only one week and 50 people to do it.
Crazy? Yes. But hey, if those 50 are dedicated multitalented super-freaks, then everything is possible…
THANKS TO ALL
The sUSTAINABLE LIFESTYLE Ninjas of POC21!
Thanks to ALL the volunteers and supporters involved in making POC21 happen. Without you, this would mean nothing.
Meet Kim Michelt from Germany and Gabriela Graber from Switzerland. They have been kept busy the last two weeks, not only helping with the setup of the POC21 camp, but they also got involved in welcoming the 12 projects to the camp. They are two of the 40+ volunteers – the stealthy ninjas behind the scenes of sustainable lifestyle.
DIARY OF AN ECO-HACKER
Impressions of week one
The geeks have officially stormed the castle. Over the past 9 days, a small army of approximately 50 builders, makers, volunteers, organizers and media-folk have worked to transform the majestic old Chateau Millemont into a sustainable innovation hub: POC21. Text: Tristan Copley-Smith from the project Aker.
the next Level
As soon as the POC21 projects arrived at Chateau de Millemont, they started to challenge the status of their projects. They not just started to rebuild their current versions, but also rethink their concept and push to the next level. While the SunZilla project become more modular, the Wind Turbine project improved the electronic engine and the Showerloop project played around with different material.
WELCOME TO POC 21
HELLO & BONJOUR
Arriving at POC21 is quite intense. You realize, that this world here is a bit different from the rest of the world. That’s why we give every new arrival a tour across the grounds of Chataeu Millemont.

Its been exciting seeing the prototypes form and projects come closer to their final vision. Here is a little update of the progress of VELO M2, SOLAROSE and BICITRACTOR.
